Legal notice

What the law requires us to state, written to be read: who to contact, your rights if you sign a quote at home, and the guarantees that apply.

The website

Chassis-Watermael-Boitsfort.be presents a business that fits and replaces windows, front doors, roller shutters and insect screens, mainly in Watermael-Boitsfort.

Contact email: [email protected]

Area covered: Watermael-Boitsfort and the neighbouring communes.

The website is hosted by a provider established in the European Union and served through Cloudflare’s network.

Content

The text, illustrations and icons on this website were created for it. The information on planning rules, grants and VAT summarises official sources cited on each page, as of the date given. It is meant as guidance, and does not replace the opinion of the commune or of an adviser.

Right of withdrawal

Our contracts are generally concluded at your home, after the measuring visit. They are off-premises contracts.

In principle, you have fourteen calendar days to withdraw, without giving any reason and at no cost. The law provides for an exception for goods made to your specifications, such as made-to-measure windows: where it applies, you are told so in writing on the quote, before you sign. For items in standard sizes and for services that are not made to measure, the fourteen-day period applies.

If you would like the work to start during this period, we ask you to confirm this in writing. If you validly withdraw, everything you have paid, deposit included, is refunded to you within fourteen days.

Guarantees

For goods delivered, the two-year legal guarantee of conformity applies, as provided for in articles 1649bis and following of the former Civil Code, as well as the guarantee against hidden defects. A commercial guarantee mentioned on a quote comes in addition to these legal guarantees and does not replace them.

Applicable law

Belgian law applies. In the event of a dispute, the consumer can bring the matter before the court with jurisdiction under the law, including the court for their place of residence. Before it comes to that, write to us: most misunderstandings are cleared up with a simple exchange.
