A sound frame, whether wood or profile, is almost always worth repairing. Replacement becomes necessary when the frame itself gives way: deeply rotten wood, a warped profile, a window that no longer closes square.
That is what the inspection is for: telling you what is really damaged, and what each option would cost. If a simple adjustment is enough, we will tell you so plainly, and you will have nothing to order.

My double glazing has misted up between the two panes: what should I do?
It has lost its seal, and the inside of the unit cannot be cleaned. The glazing unit is replaced, usually without changing the frame if that is in good condition.
How do I know whether to repair or replace?
It all depends on the frame. If it is sound, repair is almost always the best option. If it is rotten, warped or no longer closes square, replacement becomes the more sensible choice. The inspection on site is what settles it.
